How Rollins researchers are improving the health of children and their mothers

“Children are our future, and their mothers are its guardians,” said Kofi Annan while serving as United Nations secretary-general. Spurred by U.N. Millennium Development Goal No. 4 to reduce childhood mortality by two-thirds as of 2015, the number of deaths of children under age 5 has declined—from 12.6 million in 1990 to 6.6 million in 2012.
